In this one-hour experience, you, the guest artist, choose your favorite colors and hand-select the preferred shaped wineglass top and bottom. Wineglass shapes and sizes include:

Once you make your wineglass selections, you step up to the torches and are introduced to glassblowing with a demonstration of the ins and outs of what to do (and not to do) by one of our experienced artists. It is then time for you to be turned loose and begin the process of melting and manipulating your glass. You can fuse and mix colored glass rods with thick clear glass rods, heating and then shaping them with tools like torches, graphite pads, paddles and tweezers.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff are there to help you until your piece is completed and placed in the annealing kiln or annealer, where it must soak and cool down over the next 12-24 hours.

Your finished wineglasses will be ready for pick up as soon as the next day and can also be shipped worldwide.

Make-Your-Own Glass Pendant

A unique way to spend time with friends and family while making something to cherish for years to come.

Very similar to our wine glass workshop, the Make-Your-Own Glass Pendant Experience is favored by people who don’t drink and would like to take home a palm-sized keepsake. In this one hour experience, you, the guest artist, will choose 2-3 of your favorite colors from our assorted color bin. (Don’t worry about getting all your favorite colors in one go, you’ll have plenty of time to make 2 – 3 pendants during this one hour experience!)

Perfect For: Baby Showers, Girl’s Night, Wedding Showers, Bachelorette Parties, Book Clubs, Reunions, Date Night, Girl Scout Troops, Homeschool Classes, Art Classes, Seniors, Children, Tweens, Teens & Jewelry makers.

Once you pick your color selections, you step up to the torches and are introduced to glassblowing with a demonstration of the ins and outs of what to do (and not to do) by one of our glass instructors. Then we turn you loose to begin the process of melting and manipulating your glass. You can fuse and mix colored glass rods with thick clear glass rods, and then shape them with tools like torches, graphite pads, paddles and tweezers. We will teach you how to sculpt the glass and then add the loop so the pendant can hang from a necklace as well as for fan-pulls, sun catchers, keychains, twisted ornaments & rearview mirrors.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff are there to help you until your perfect piece is completed and placed in the annealing kiln or annealer, where it must soak and cool down over the next 12-24 hours.

Make-Your-Own Glass Pipe

Create your own glass smoking pipe or spoon (for entertainment purposes only, of course!)

The Make-Your-Own Glass Pipe Experience is the only one of it’s kind in the Southeast Region. It’s exclusively offered every Friday of the week from 4pm – 9pm. We also host a monthly “Special Pipemaking Event”- “Pipe Night” from 6pm to 10pm. This is a flameworking workshop where you are able to create your own glass smoking pipe or spoon (for entertainment purposes only, of course!).

Perfect For: Girl’s Night, Guy’s Night, Bachelorette Parties, Bachelor Parties, Art Classes, Seniors, Date Night

Once you make your color & size selections, they are placed in the 1050 degree kiln to warm up, you then step up to the torches and are introduced to glassblowing with a demonstration of the ins and outs of what to do (and not to do) by one of our experienced artists. It is then time to begin forming and blowing your glass pipe. You also learn how to pop a hole for the carb and push the bowl to make it personal for your taste.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff are there to help you until your pipe is functional, with the finishing touches, then placed in the annealing kiln or annealer, where it must soak and cool down over the next 12-24 hours.

Your finished pipe will be ready for pick up as soon as the next day and can also be shipped worldwide.

Make Your Own Glass Beads

The Make-Your-Own Glass Beads Experience is perfect for jewelry makers and crafters of all ages! You can use the glass beads you create to make necklaces, bracelets, rings, macrame hangers and more! You are only limited by your imagination!

Perfect For: Baby Showers, Girl’s Night, Wedding Showers, Bachelorette Parties, Girl Scout Troops, Homeschool Classes, Art Classes, Seniors, Children, Tweens, Teens

Once you make your color selections and decide what size and shape beads you want, you step up to the torches and are introduced to glassblowing with a demonstration of the ins and outs of what to do (and not to do) by one of our artists. It is then time to begin melting and manipulating your glass beads in the torch. By melting color and clear on a steel mandrel your beads are created as the glass melts and fuses together.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff are there to help you until your beads are ready to string and placed in the annealing kiln or annealer, where they must soak and cool down over the next 12-24 hours. Once cooled the beads are then removed from the mandrel and cleaned.

Your finished beads will be ready for pick up as soon as the next day and can also be shipped worldwide.

BLOW YOUR OWN ORNAMENT

Do you love the look of glass ornaments on a holiday tree? How about hanging in your kitchen window? Or are you obsessed with the reality TV show “Blown Away”? What if you could make your own custom glass ornament right in St. Petersburg just like the artists on television? Join us to create your own custom glass ornament!

Zen Glass Studio teaches the basics in the one-on-one Blow-Your-Own Ornament Workshop held in our Hotshop. In this one-hour experience, you, the guest artist, will choose your favorite colors for the surface of the piece you’ll be creating. Our instructor will introduce you to glassblowing with a run down of safety, balance, and techniques. Then it’s time for you to balance and maneuver the molten glass.

You will turn and roll the liquefied glass through your colors on the end of a steel blowpipe. Starting the bubble and expanding the inside of the ornament with your breath is a real treat! You will blow out the glass to form the classic ornament ball. Your piece is finished when we break it off the “Punty”(steel blowpipe) and drop a molten bit on top for the loop.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable artist staff are there to help you complete your perfect piece and place it in the annealing kiln or annealer, where it must soak and cool down over the next 12-24 hours.

Your finished glass ornaments are ready for pick up the next day (excluding Mondays – we are closed) and can also be shipped or picked up at a later date.

Zen Glass Studio teaches the basics in the one-on-one Make-Your-Own Glass Paperweight Workshop held in our Hotshop. In this roughly one-hour experience, you, the guest artist, will choose your favorite colors for the piece you’ll be creating. Our instructor will introduce you to glassblowing with a rundown of safety, balance, and techniques. Then it’s time for you to balance and maneuver the molten glass.

You will turn and roll the glass on the end of a steel blowpipe. Rolling the molten glass into granules of color, then twisting or shaping before “gathering” another layer of clear over your whole piece, adding space for light and dimension! Your piece is finished when we break it off the “Punty”(steel blowpipe).

Your finished glass paperweights are ready for pick up the next day (excluding Mondays – we are closed)) and can also be shipped or picked up at a later date.

This place is awesome. We did a great easy beginner project where we heated up some glass, added color to it, and shaped it how we wanted. The amazing staff there then turned our amorphous works of art into functional stemware. A very neat experience. I can’t recommend enough.
