Artist Profile:
My work’s intention is not to be representational, or communicate a particular idea, but instead stimulate thought into the emotions behind its creation. The canvas has become the vehicle for my emotion, which is expressed in dramatic use of colors, which make the final product quiver with vitality. Using an impasto style, I focus on the emotive value of the color. Before I begin my work, I am sensitive to my approach to the canvas, making sure the spontaneity involved releases my true emotion combined with my unconscious mind.
